VITAL-Supply (Tracking)

VerdaSee recognizes that within the context of First Response, Healthcare, Humanitarian Relief, and Military Logistics, it is absolutely critical to know:

  • Where are the required supplies?
    • Are they in transit?  If so, when are they expected to arrive?
    • Are they currently available on-site?  If so, where are they?
    • Are they in use?  If so, by whom (i.e., have they been loaned, etc.)?
       
  • Are the supplies free from contamination (sterile, non-adulterated, etc.)?
     
  • Are the supplies within their expiration dates?
     
  • What is the current rate of consumption?
    • Is the supply inventory in need of replenishment?
       
  • Etc.

If supplies cannot be located or if they are contaminated or have expired, they effectively do not exist… and someone may die as a result.  Supplies, like assets, are a potential “black hole” into which money is poured.  Most organizations that deal with the preservation of human life err on the side of precaution.  They routinely carry excess inventories (sometimes from 50 to 100 percent more than they need) in order to protect against the possibility of a not having what they need… when they need it.  Unfortunately, these same organizations traditionally struggle to find the funding for new equipment, etc. that could further improve their performance.

VITAL-Supply™ resolves both issues.  This module constantly monitors the location, movement and status of critical supplies.  It makes sure they are available and in proper condition for deployment when the need arises.  Accordingly, when the incident has been resolved, a proper accounting can be made quickly and accurately.  Inventory levels can be efficiently and effectively controlled; greatly reducing cost while lowering the risk of stock-outs, etc.

VITAL-Supply™ also provides value outside of the scope of an emergency  situation (e.g., for monitoring supply location, count, status, staging, etc.) as well as the collateral benefit of creating ongoing training and/or familiarity with the use of system components such as IoT data collection devices.  As a result, inventories can be optimized, liabilities can be reduced, and a state of readiness can be maintained; all of which inures to the betterment of those who serve… and those who are served by them.
